About us

Church Farm Guest House (bed & breakfast) was completely renovated in 2008 and opened to our first guests in June 2008. We opened our first restaurantt in Ironbridge in 2002 and since opening Church Farm Guest House in 2008 we have promoted a warm, friendly welcome to all our guests, old and new.

We are both from a sales & marketing background, having lived in Hong Kong and travelled most corners of the Globe within roles for major Companies. In 2002 we decided to throw in the Company car keys and venture into new careers, whilst settling in Telford, Shropshire. Mel became a mum of two (not really the initial plan!) and Martin pursued his love for cooking , owning three Restaurants and Pubs up until January 2009 when we decided to concentrate on Church Farm Bed and Breakfast as our main business.
Church Farm Guest House in Wrockwardine Village, Telford, Shropshire is a family business and both the family and business have evolved significantly over the last 3 years. Basil, (the restaurant namesake!) our extremely lovable Staffordshire Bull Terrier, is always pleased to greet new guests - his photograph should be at all 4 corners of the globe by now as all guests seem to take his image home with them!
As well as bed & breakfast (B&B) the farmhouse offers award winning (AA Rosette) dinner to both residents and non residents, private dining and outside catering. Since July 2011 we have also run the kitchen at the local Gastro Pub, The Plough in Allscott.
We look forward to meeting you soon.

Friendly and informal but professional and well organised."
Four night stay for combined business and leisure purposes - the second year in succession that we've stayed at Church Farm. Mel, Martin and family are delightful people and it feels more like staying with friends than at a guest house. We plan to return again next year. Beautiful old farmhouse that's been sympathetically restored. Spotlessly clean rooms with good facilities. Wonderful food. Attention to detail. Relaxed atmosphere with nothing too much trouble. "a brilliant little B&B, loved it"
We only got to stay for two nights but really wish it had been longer. Fab hosts and scrumptious food in a very homely and intimate place. The rooms had all you could possibly need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We will most definitely be back if we can find an excuse (and to any future guests we would recommend not eating for a week in advance so you can indulge in the best breakfast you'll ever have!).TripAdvisor February 2011
