Basil's at Church Farm in Telford, Shropshire

'Basils' menu is set three or four courses and changes weekly. (see this weeks menu below). Our fish comes from Brixham direct from the boats and everything else is sourced locally from farms and regional producers to really offer you top quality Shropshire food.  The style is both modern and  British and whether you fancy three courses or go all out and have four the standard is the same as is the welcome.   We can also cater for specific dietary needs, vegetarian, gluten/lactose free, celiac  etc with a little notice, and if there is something you really fancy to eat why not try us with a phone call prior to coming, you never know we might be able to squeeze it onto that nights' menu!

We hope you enjoy your stay with us, one thing to say is that our restaurant is unlicensed so if you want a nice bottle of wine then you are very welcome to bring one with you (Corkage charge applies). We have a full range of soft drinks available to drink with your dinner.

New for this year we are also very happy to make you up luncheon packs to take with you in the morning. These typically include sandwiches/rolls with a choice of fillings, crisps, fruit, cake/chocolate bars and a drink. We offer them to all guests, whether they be just to eat at work for lunch, for walkers heading out for a day in the hills or just for the kids who may have a long car journey ahead of them.  Just let us know how many you need the night before and we will have them ready for you in the morning.

Dinner Testimonials...

Just a note to say thank you for a wonderful evening on Saturday.  Richards birthday was made very special.  Church Farm Guest House is such a perfect setting for such occasions and your personal service is so much appreciated - especially by me - all the enjoyment and none of the hard work!  Martins choice of menu was perfect, much enjoyed by all and especially the added treat for my son!  Our guests spending the night there were really impressed. Looking forward to the next time. Thanks again to you and all your family. Richard & Tess Smitherman & Co.  October 2009

Great hosts... Cracking food... we'll be back only this time with the golf clubs ! (?)  Thanks for a fabulous weekend.  Sue & Gus Mansfield. Bristol. September 2009

This is an excellent B&B, one of the best we have stayed at on our John O'Groats to Lands End journey!  The suberb 4 course evening meal was of the highest standard, but we still managed a huge breakfast and all in beautiful surroundings.  More like a country house hotel than a B&B. Would be great for a family gathering or walking week with friends... Peter & Jane Harris. June 2010 www.macjogle.co.uk

A warm welcome with a pot of tea on the patio after a long hot day was just what we needed!  Lovely comfortable well equipped room. Dinner was superb, especially the beef wellington & we appreciated being able to bring our own wine.  After a restful night, breakfast didn't disappoint - the yoghurt with granola & eggs benedict were fabulous.  Wish we were staying longer!  Barry & Janet Sharp May 2010
